The first blog links.net was created by Justin Hall in 1994. This time they were not called blog but known as his personal homepage. After 1997, the term weblog was coined and later it was shortened to blog in 1999.livejournal is a well known the early sites. In 1999, blogger was started by Evan Williams & Meg Hourihan at pyra labs. According to James Garrett, there were 23 blogs on the internet. And in middle of 2006 there were 50 million blog .Howard Dean, Wesley Clark and other using blogs. Meta blog was one of the popular & successful blog. In early 2000s so many popular blogs starts like Boing Boing, dooce, gizmodo etc. in September 2001, version 1.0 of movable type of blogging platform was released in 2003. Technorathi was first major blog search engine was launched in 2001. Audioblogger, the first major podcasting service was founded in 2003. In 2004, the first video blog started. Adsense is one of platform was first ad network and it made it possible for blogger without huge platform to start making money from when they first started blogging. In mid- 2000s, blogs were reaching the mainstream. In 2004, candidates, political consultants & other are using blog. Mainstream media sources are also teaming up with existing blogs and blogger rather than just setting out on their own. In end of 2010, 152 million blogs active. In 2007, tumblr was started and it was first major site to offer this kind service. They allow for a variety of different post types, unlike traditional blogging services. Later posterous is similar service was launched in 2008. Blog are unlikely to go anywhere in the foreseeable future. But there is a lot of room for growth & innovation in method.     
Introduction to Blogging:

In this article, the writer talk about blog, composing principles, using multimedia/ hyperlink and so many other things .The word “Blog”, a contraction of “web log”, is an informational web page. The term “log” comes from the history of nautical navigation & originally referred to a record of chronological events kept by a ship’s crew. Blog  can be personal ,artistic,academic.when we composing a post we follow this principles like making a point, be concise post often ,consider inviting guest blogger ,proofread, create visual interest.
